Butterflies - a2000greetings "Loads of butterfuly information. Butterfly poems ad butterfly groups. Butterflies are special to us. Butterflies have the typical four-stage insect life cycle. Winged adults lay eggs on the food plant on which their larvae, known as caterpillars, will feed. The caterpillars grow, sometimes very rapidly, and when fully developed, pupate in a chrysalis. When metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin splits, the adult insect climbs out, and after its wings have expanded and dried, it flies off. "
Heres a poem I wrote. I hope you like it.

BUTTERFLIES ARE SPECIALButterflies are special to us! And to many of you. I could not believe that I saw twin butterflies in my back yard. Can you imagine my surprise. I never thought about twin butterflies. The reason why I, instinctively knew they were twin butterflies was that. They were same beautiful color, the same size, and they flew wing to wing about 1/8 inch apart. I stayed with them for some time as they flew around me and my dog and a tree close by. And they never broke formation! Amazing. I have yet to get to go to butterfly world but I plan on making the trip.
This butterfly video above, also has other videos. There is one that shows the full life circle with butterfly farming. Enjoy

BUTTERFLYA butterfly is an insect of the order Lepidoptera. Like all Lepidoptera, butterflies are notable for their unusual life cycle with a larval caterpillar stage, an inactive pupal stage, and a spectacular metamorphosis into a familiar and colourful winged adult form. Most species are day-flying so they regularly attract attention.

A BUTTERFLY LESSON
A butterfly lesson,
A man found a cocoon (chrysalis) of a butterfly.
Then one day a small opening appeared,
he sat and watched the butterfly
for several hours as it struggled
to force its body through that little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress.
It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could
and it could go no farther.
Then the man decided to help the butterfly,
so he took a pair of scissors
and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily.
But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly
because he expected that, at any moment, the wings
would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body,
which would contract in time.
In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life
crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings.
It never was able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand
was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle
required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening
were God's way of forcing fluid from the body
of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready
for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles,
it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
And we could never fly.

This is a thank you poem dedicated to those butterfly friends that come to this website and sign my guestbook regularly.
I write a poem
Especially for you
If today the walls
came crashing down
I want to make sure you know
Just because I'm quiet
Doz not mean
I don't think of you
That special thing you do
The pleasant moments you display
With your beauty in abundance
You make our guest books dance
Your style is so undeniable
It makes this girl smile
All you have to do
Is look into our guest books
To see it twinkle and shine
Like the stars in the sky
As you make me dream
Of things worldwide
With the touch of the keyboard
The days and years pass by
This moment of joy
Celebrated with you
I am thankful to have shared
Your fourth year Anniversary
Dear Guest book Butterfly's
You brighten up my days
Thank you so much

Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.

WOW! I never new that butterflies could have an identical twin. I guess I never thought about it. The reason I know this is because I asw it. Two identical butterflies flying wing tip to wing tip. What an amazing and beautiful site to see! They never broke away or strayed. Up and down all around me and then around the tree and back to me. I cant stop talking about it.

~ BLUE BUTTERFLIES ~
Blue butterflies are special,
and they always catch my eye.....
giving instant blessings
from that spirit in the sky.
who loves us,
our hearts and souls to warm,
knowing that he watches,
and keeps us safe from harm.
Tiny little blessings,
fluttering in the breeze,..
sending us a message
to keep our spirits free.
Gracious little beauties,
are here for me and you,
and they are much more special,
when they come dressed in blue!!!

Create a Habitat for Butterfly by providing a source of water on your property using a shallow dish lined with small stones or pebbles for them to land on while drinking.
Butterfly ingests did olved minerals from the water found in moist earth, so leave any of these areas untouched whenever possible. If going through a dry spell, create a little mud puddle in a protected area of your garden.
Provide a source of food for both Caterpillar and Butterfly by growing plants that produce nectar rich blossoms, as this will assist the species to survive as well as encourage pollinating adults to linger awhile.
