One of the three proteins found in this Coronavirus is the S-protein. It is otherwise known as the ‘spike-protein’. Simply, it fools the ACE-2 receptors in human lungs. The ACE-2 receptor thinks the cell is benign so it attaches to the spike-protein. Then, the virus enters the healthy cell membrane and attacks the nucleus and replaces the DNA there.

How easy to lament the passing of multitudes
We knew them not,
And the bombs were but a blip
On someone's computer…
A game of PacMan
Only a game.

But each one is not just a target.
Each is a living vital being,
One who loved,
One who hoped,
One who feared,
One of us.

So when one we knew has passed;
When one we knew is not here,
When one we knew,
And loved,
And cherished,
Treasured,

Then can we expand on what that life meant?
Can we see that truth,
That the death of anyone
